How much grain-nitrogen offtake is sustainable without any N-fertilization! This basic measure of soil fertility in field-crop production is a strict function of non-symbiotic nitrogen fixation, aka “azb” given the key role of Azotobacter like species. If this basal level of azb can be increased after the incorporation of crop residue in the topsoil, this supplementary nitrogen will necessarily contribute to grain yields regardless of added N-fertilizer later in the season. Azotobacterial fertilization, AZB™, as understood by Polyor SAS (https://lnkd.in/eBmfT3NM) is thus a key component of integrated fertilizer management for sustainable agriculture implemented using Polyor SAS’s AgroNum™ algorithm. Herein attached a PDF summarizing the proven efficacy of AZB™.
