Nitrogen status of crop residues

Sustainable agriculture & soil organic matter conservation is all about ensuring that abundant crop residues are sufficiently rich in nitrogen. Sustainable target yields and nitrogen enrichment of crop residues as a function of N-fertilizer recommendations (eg. data from Effah et al. 2022 - doi: 10.3389/fpls.2022.859655) should be synchronous.
